 “Among the visitors coming in on a Xmas vacation are Jethro McOnbbin, Charley Sidwell, Frank Rodden from Iowa.”
  It is "believed" that Green's father is Frank Rodden although I've also seen the name Flynn. Green was always told Frank Rodden was his father and although Green's brother, William Lewis Ash, was fathered by a Bruce Quinn which sounds kind of close, he was not in the area at the time that Green was born. On the 1880 Miller County, Missouri census, both Green and Everett have it listed that their father was born in North Carolina which just happens to be where Frank Rodden was born although later census indicate Kentucky (per the 1900 census) or Illinois (per the 1910 census).
