Notes

Note: While searching through my aunt's papers, I found the bible record of Martha Ann (Thornton) Luttrell on her parents and siblings. I found the birth record for Sarah Jane Thornton.
Sarah Jane the daughter of Elisabeth Elender Thornton was born July the 22, 1858. With several of the other children, they indicate son/dau of M.O. Thornton however this record does not. This was also 1 and 1/2 years before she married Milton O. Thornton and in the same year that Julia Ann (Luttrell) Thornton, Milton's wife, died.
So is Sarah Jane the daughter of Milton Owen Thornton or someone else? Her mother is definately listed as Elizabeth Elender Thornton. I suspect she is the illigitimate daughter of Elizabeth Elender Floyd.
