Notes

Note: I can find very little on Caroline Nancy Floyd. She was born Feb. 1851 per the 1900 census and died 24 Feb 1934 near Brumley, Miller County, Missouri, USA per her headstone in the Mount Union Cemetery, near Brumley, Miller County, Missouri. What happened in-between those dates is a mystery. In 1870 and 1876 she had two daughters but wasn't married. She would have been 17 in 1870 and most probably stil living at home with her father, Tom Floyd but I'm unable to find a 1870 census on them.
On her daughter, Mary's, death certificate, it does not list a father's name (The information was supplied by Nancy Ash her sister-in-law). But on her son, Jake Wyrick's, death certificate, John Thornton (her last husband) indicates her maiden name is Luttrell. Is this because Nancy married Silas Luttrell 13 years later and Mary is taking his name or because her father really was a Luttrell. Silas Luttrell, whom Caroline Floyd later married, lived next to her father, Thomas Floyd in 1860 and had no children by his first wife. He was in the vicinity to father her children but wasn't born in Illinois like she indicates her children's father was in 1880. Caroline would marry Silas in 1881. I'm not sure when his first wife died.
