Notes
a. Note:   The 1920 Illinois State Census records show that Edwin Amelung had his brother-in-law Henry Kahle living with him. Edwin's sister, Lydia Amelung, who married Peter Ranft, adopted a daughter named Irene Kahle. I'm now curious if Irene could have been a daughter of Henry Kahle. Edwin & Wilhelmina also had a daughter named Irene Lydia Amelung.
