Note: HARLINGEN, TX Alpha Harold Ellis, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Retama Nursing Center of Harlingen.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all whos` lives he touched. He was employed by the city of Harlingen water works division for 38 years of service. He also had a passion for painting, which are on display at the Calvary Baptist Church of Harlingen. And was also an avid fisherman.
He is survived by one son, David H. (Darlene) Ellis of Stockdale, Texas; three daughters, Carolyn Hunt of Stockdale, Texas, June (Michael) Brown of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Patricia (Stan) Kennedy of Harlingen, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Seal of Oplois, Kansas, and Alta Cannon of Elliville, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2003 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mont Meta /Restlawn/Cox Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Mont Meta Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park of San Benito.
All funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mont Meta/Restlawn/Cox Funeral Home of Harlingen. A dignity memorial provider.
