Caleb was the son of Caleb Sampson of Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts and Mercy Standish of Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Mercy and Caleb were married before 1686 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Mercy and Caleb had seventeen children. They were: Jerusha Sampson was born about 1705; Rachel Sampson was born between 1674 and 20 April 1701; David Sampson was born about 1686; Lorah Sampson was born about 1687; Caleb Sampson was born between 1692 and 1705; Priscilla Sampson was born about 1697; Ruth Sampson was born about 1702; Joshua Sampson was born about 1703; Sarah Sampson was born about 1707. All the children were born in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Note: Caleb and Mercy had 8 other children besides Jerusha, David, Lorah, Rachel, Priscilla, Joshua, Ruth, Caleb, and Sarah.
Caleb married Mehetable (Mehetabell) Ford on 12 February 1729 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Mehetable and Caleb had five children. They were: Gideon Sampson was born on 25 February 1735 or 1736; Paul Sampson was born before 26 November 1730; Michael Sampson was born on 25 December 1732; Bethiah Sampson was born on about 1733; and Martin Sampson was born on 13 January 1739 or 1740. All the children were born in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Occupation: Caleb Samson served on the committee that laid out the road from the Marshfield bounds to the Plymouth road and the highway from Jones' River Bridge to the North River Bridge on 24 October 1685.
Note: Caleb was the son of Henry Samson(Sampson) of the Mayflower and his wife Ann Plummer.

Event: Caleb Samson was given 30 acres of land by the Town of Duxbury in 1686, on the "Northerly side of Green Harbor brook and a swamp that goes to Dingley's wolf trap' if he would settle on it.
Event: On 25 December 1712, Caleb Samson exchanged a piece of his land on the hill for an addition at the foot of his lot next to Philip Leonard.
Event: Caleb Samson gave his son David Samson "all the land in Duxbury where he dwelled being about 80 acres and all his marsh or meadow lying in Duxbury; Caleb reserved for himself on half of the barn. The Property 14 July 1721
Event: Caleb gave his son Caleb the "land in Duxbury on which his son was living being part of the 55th and 56th lots of the first division; acknowledged on 07 September 1744 and recorded 20 September 1744.
