Eugene Irwln of the town of Rochester was brought to Jail Thursday night, having been commltted for 20 days, in default of payment of a $20 fine, by Justice of the Peace Calvin Sherman. Irwln was arrested on the charge of disturbing religious worship. Kingston Daily Freeman, March 28, 1912 Eugene Irwin Discharged The case of The People against Eugene Irwin was then called. Irwin was arrested on a peace warrant and has been in jail since January 26 last. He was charged by his sister with threatening to shoot her at the family home In Napanoch. lrwln was placed on the stand and told his story. He said that on the day In question he had been to a hotel and had two drinks of whiskey and then he went home. He was boarding with his sister at the time. When he reached home he had no recollection of ever having threatened to shoot or kill her. The names of various neighbors who said that they had heard him make the threats were then read to him and he said he did not remember of seeing them around when he was accused of threatening his sister's life. As he had spent two months in jail he was discharged by the court. 1915 census, Rochester, Ulster Co., NY (St. Josen) Irwin, Arthur, age 24 Eugene, age 50, father 1930 census: New Paltz, Ulster Co., NY inmate in County Almshouse Obituary from Kingston Daily Freeman, June 29, 1934 Frederick Eugene Irwin, formerly of Accord, died at New Paltz on Tuesday, June 26, aged 84 years. His funeral was held this afternoon at 2 oÕclock from the H. B. Humiston Funeral Home in Kerhonkson. Interment was in the Accord cemetery.
