 Silas Van Etten of Pataukunk died Saturday, March 6, at HackettÕs Sanitarium. He was 89 years old. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Gerow Thomas of Kingston, Mrs. Mary Sagendorf of Middletown, Mrs. George Quick of Walden, Mrs. William Baird of Poughkeepsie, and Mrs. Nellie Deyo of Pataukunk and two sons, Levi Van Etten of Florida and Silas Van Etten, Jr., of the Hawaiian Islands, also 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the H. B. Humiston funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 oÕclock. Burial will be in Pine Bush cemetery near Kerhonkson. The Rev. Ben Sholten of Accord will officiate.
