Mrs. Cornelius B. Irwin died at her home in this village Wednesday morning. She was a devout Christian woman, and was universally respected. Mrs. Irwin had reached the age of 72 years and three months. She had been ill for about a year, and her disease was said to be cancer of the stomach. Mrs. Irwin was born in this town; her maiden name was Atkins, and she was the daughter of Frederick Atkins, who was a native Englishman. [Not true--her father was also born in Ulster Co.] Her husband, an invalid veteran soldier of the war for the Union, survives her, with three daughters and four sons. Funeral service at the house, Saturday, at 10 A. M.
