Irwin, 72, of High Falls, who died Sept 23 at Castle Point Veterans Administration Hospital, Beacon, were held Monday at Parmele Funeral Home, Poughkeepsie with the Rev. C Everett Wagner, minister of Washington-Hedding Methodist Church, Poughkeepsie, officiating. Prior to entering the hospital, Mr. Irwin made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Decker of Poughkeepsle. He resided in High Falls since early childhood and was educated there and in Accord Schools. A veteran of World War I, he served with the 59th Pioneer Infantry. He was a member of the former Clove Chapel and of Ulster County Regular Veterans Association. Surviving in addition to his daughter are four brothers, George Stratton of Buchanan; Guy Irwin of Hancock; Fred Irwin of New Britain, and John Irwin of High Falls; also a granddaughter, Constance Decker of Poughkeepsie. Andrew J.
