  Abram N. Irwin
 Abram N. Irwin died suddenly at his home in Montela on Tuesday, March 13, as a result of a stroke of paralysis suffered four years ago, at the age of seventy-seven years. He was born in Yagerville, on June 27, 1856, and was the son of Cornelius B. Irwin and Phoebe Atkins. He was married at Currey on July 3, 1875, to Sarah Jane Hornbeck, who passed away six years ago, July 24, 1927. He also lost two sons, Vernon and Charles, during the years of 1918 and 1919.
 Mr. Irwin was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Montela, and had resided in that vicinity during the past seventy-seven years, devoting practically his life time in farming.
 Surviving him are four daughters, Hattie, wife of John Remington of Middletown, Grace Miller of Liberty, Maude, wife of Reuben Kile of Ellenville, and Cornelia, wife of George Schoonmaker, who had lived with and cared for her father since her motherÕs death; five sons, Wesley of Montela, Nelson of Middletown, Harrison of Port Jervis, Cornelius of Napanoch, and Richard of Comstock; also one brother, Eugene of New Paltz, and twenty grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held at his home at Montela at 2 oÕclock on Friday, Rev. Frank Hastings of the Methodist Episcopal Church conducting the services. Burial in the Yaegerville Cemetery.
 Pall bearers were Benjamin Kortright, Charles Carlile, John Richard, Thomas Connor, Champlin Yale, and Albert Osterhout.
