Note: N4307 Francis Corriere was born Francesca Curreri in Cefal, Providence of Palermo, Sicily, Italy on the fifth of December 1891. The Curreri's changed the spelling of their last name in an attempt to assimilate into American society. The spelling Corriere was done to try to get Americans to pronounce the name correctly with phonetics which was very common for Sicilian immigrants in those days. I have digital copies of both her Cefal municipal birth record and her baptism records from the Cathedral in Cefal. Her parents were Francesco Curreri and Maria Nunzia Fertitta.
