Dorothy B. Banta?American Valve Co. employee
COSXACKIE Ð Dorothy B. Banta, 85, formerly of DederickÕs Trailer Park, West Coxsackie, New York, died Feb. 22, 2007, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, in Albany, where she has been a resident since 1994.
She was born in Coxsackie, Sept. 14, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtie (Applebee) Newbury.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Walter and also her son Walter H. Banta in 1997.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Evelyn Stark of Sebring, Fla, three grandchildren Jennifer Breslin of California, Diana Robinson of Florida, and Donald Hotaling of Selkirk, also two grandchildren Schyler and Casandra Rousayne, both of Tennessee.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the American Valve Co., of Coxsackie.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the W. C. BradyÕs Sons Inc., Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie.Ê Private cremation services took place at the Albany Rural Crematorium in Menands, on Feb. 23, 2007.
Interment of her remains will take place at a later date in the family plot of the Chestnut Lawn Cemetery in New Baltimore.
