Her birth/baptism record show both Ole and Siri listed with Stoum as the farm name.
From information from Tormod Overland's local genealogist, Karen's father, Ole was probably a "service boy" (from Google translate) on the farm Stoum. Siri, Karen's mother, was living on the Stoum farm. In 1875 Ole was a farmer and shoemaker on Skalmeraas.

Note: In the 1865 Norwegian census her parents' residence was Smaalien. Her father was a cotter so perhaps they moved from farm to farm. The emigration records from their church in Norway gives her "last n
