Note: Spoke only Yiddish. Manya was married when the family immigrated to New York City. She and her husband stayed in Russia. Sheila Goldberg recounts that Joseph Silverstein went to Russia in the 1960's but found no trace of Manya or her family. She is presumed to have perished in the holocaust.
