Note: Vance F. McIntyre, 82 Vance F. McIntyre, 82, of Hendersonville, died Monday, March 1, 2004, in the Pardee Care Center. He was a native of Rahway, N.J., and a prior resident of Mason, Mich., for most of his life, before becoming a resident of Henderson County 13 years ago. He received his engineering degree from Michigan State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 255 infantry. He retired in 1983 from IBM in Endicott, N.Y. Survivors include his loving wife, Verla; two sons, Thomas McIntyre and wife, Wendy, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and James McIntyre of St. Helens, Ore.; a sister, Mary Hall and husband, Ted, of Michigan; a brother-in-law, A.J. Bradazon and wife, Shirley, of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Lois McDonald, Reba Hackney and Leota Borton and her husband, Chuck, of Michigan; and two grandchildren, Kiehl of Oregon and Jessica of Utah. No service is scheduled. Memorials may be made to the Henderson County Public Library, 301 N. Washington St., Hendersonville, N.C. 28739 or to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O.
