Two brothers, Mr. J. G. Taylor (general secretary) and Mr. H. Taylor, are also connected with City Mutual. Another brother is Dr. George Taylor, of Brisbane. Dr. Taylor, who was 62 years of age, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Violet Taylor, two sons, Peter (Vaucluse) and Robert (Balgowlah), and three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Duhig (Brisbane), Mrs. M. Kearney (Killara) and Mrs. G. Murphy (Longueville). Dr. Taylor served overseas for four years in the First World War as a medical officer.
The Rev. Dr. C. Tierney, of St. Mary's Cathedral, celebrated Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul at the Cathedral, and the Rev. Father R. Darby, P.P. (Willoughby) officiated at the graveside in Northern Suburbs cemetery.
