  Raymond and Azelie's marriage record dates Nov.8,1836 (Franklin Court House Marriage vol. 2 #322) I have a copy. I do not know where their first child George was born, circa 1838 according to 1850 Lafourche census in which he is listed as 12 years old . Timothy was baptized in Thibodaux, La in 1842. The family appears again in the 1860 Terrebonne Census where they were living next door to Michael Knight.
  He apparently came from the Texas territory to La. sometime before 1836 but do not know where he first lived in La. before living in Lockport by 1842. Azelie's family was settled in the Lockport area according to land records. Azelie died Jan. 25,1854 (succ. records Thibodaux Ct. Hse. 1854-1855) and he married Laurenza Breaux on July 13, 1854 in Raceland Ch. v1 P 96. Their second child, Benjamin was baptized in Raceland in 1856. The next two were baptized in Chachoula /Ch. between 1858 and 1860. They lived in the Gibson or Tigerville area next to Michael during the Civil War. In 1862 they were back in Lockport where Aristine Felicia was born.
  If you know of someone researching Raymond Knight, I would appreciate being able to contact them as I have no records of his birth or proof of parents other than their names on his marriage record. Thanks. Barbara
