Notes
a. Note:   Helene died in Feb. of 1904 and Olinda was born just 8 days before. She left behind several young children. The 1910 census shows Helene's children staying with various relatives.
"Azeline" age 14, is the neice of Eddie "Lricket" Frickey and Leonel Matherne and was living with them for the 1910 census. Azeline is probably Angelina, who was born in 1896.
Eulesia, 7, and Wilfred, 16, niece and nephew of Willie Matherne and Palmire Laguillard, were living with them in 1910. Eulesia is probably Lucia; Wilfred is Wilfred b. 1894,
Wilson, 17, nephew of Telist Matherne and Louvina Labat would have been b. in 1893. Nelson Joseph A. is b. 1892. Nelson is very likely Wilson Nelson.
Helen's husband Oscar is not found in Terrebonne census of 1910 and neither is son, Willy John. It's possiable Willy John lived outside the parish. By 1910, Oscar had remarried and had at least 1 but probably more than 1 child.
Note: Aug. 2005 - In a brief conversation with Willy's son, Alton, he told me that his father was raised in Gheens.
***************************** After reviewing my notes on Oscar and Helen, I believe it's possiable that the illness Helen died from was complications of childbirth. Oscar dies in St. Martinville, LA. Did he ever get to Texas?
 See Oscar's notes.
