 Eugene "Red" Savoie
 Eugene Peter "Red" Savoie, a native and resident of Houma, died Saturday, Oct 26 at 11:30 am at the age of 71.
 He was the husband of Mrs Mae E. Eschete Savoie and the son of the late Mr and Mrs George Savoie. He was the father of Mrs Aloysies (Una) Crochet, and Mrs James (Shirley) Brunet, both of Houma. He is preceeded in death by a son, Leroy Savoie.
 He is also survived by a brother, Louis Savoie of New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs Ismae Pete of Lockport and Mrs Eugenia Hebert of Houma; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
 Mr. Savoie was employed by the state highway dept for 32 years before his retirement.
 Funeral services will be held from Chauvin Funeral Home with religious services slated at 10 am Monday, Oct 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic church.
 Interment will be at Holy Rosary Church Cemetery.
 A rosary hour will be held Sunday at 8 pm . visitation services will begin at 8 pm Sunday and continue until funeral time.
 Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc of Houma is in charge.
