MABLE CHAMBLEE
Mable (Mamie) Caro Chamblee, 77, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:05 pm Monday (May1, 1989).
Visitation will be from 5 pm - 10 pm today and from 8 am until funeral time Wednesday at the Chauvin Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She is survived by four nephews and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah C. Chamblee; her parents, Eugene and Inizida Hotard Caro; a brother, Vyner P. Caro and two sisters, Mrs Blaise (Eugenie) Bourgeois and Mrs L.J. (Claribell) Bernard.
She was a parishioner of Annuziata Catholic Church.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to cancer research at Tulane Medical Center or to the Hospice of South Louisiana.
Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
