HERBERT PORCHE
Herbert Joseph Porche, 69, a World War II veteran, died Sunday. Visitation will be until 11 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 8 am Tuesday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. W.K. Schion of Terrebonne Full Gospel Temple conducting services. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery in Bayou Blue.
Survivors include four brothers, David Porche of Algiers, LA., Morris and Harvey Porche of Bayou Blue, Murphy Porche of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Vedella Darcey of Houma and Mrs. Nettie LaFranz of Slidell, LA.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Thelma Burke; and his parents Ophelia Songe and Julien Porche. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
