Note: Emile Joseph Quick Sr., 77, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Ethel, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with interment in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by three sons, Emile Quick Jr. of Thibodaux, Harold Quick Sr. of Houma, and Michael Quick of Dulac; five daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Breaux Jr. and Mrs. Ronald (Mae) Cadiere, both of Gray, Mrs. Ronald (Hariette) Boudreaux Sr. and Mrs. Mark (Susan) Broussard, both of Montegut, and Mrs. Roy (Bonnie) Ordoyne Jr. of Ethel; two brothers, Herbert Sr. and Joseph Quick Sr., both of Houma; one sister, Louise Callahan of Houma; 27 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Bergeron Quick; his parents, Louise LeBlanc and Sidney Quick Sr.; three brothers, William Sr., Louis Sr., and Sidney Quick Jr.; three sisters, Eunice Q. Robicheaux, Marie Q. Bergeron and Mae Quick; and one grandson, Sterling Quick. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
