Note: The funeral took place at Great Sankey Cemetery on Wednesday of Mr. Thomas H. Gallimore (74) of Station Road, Great Sankey, after a service conducted by the Rev. P Carman. Mr. Gallimore was a native of Widnes, a South African War Veteran. He served in the First World War and was in the Honor Guard during the Second. He was retired and leaves a daughter and three sons. Chief mourners were Messrs. Harry Gallimore, Albert Gallimore, Arthur Gallimore (sons), Mr. Thomas Appleton, Mr. James Appleton, Mr. Francis Wilson ( brothers-in-law), A Bigham, A Appleton (nephews), Mr. Jackson, Mr. Bryner, Mr. Faves, Mr. Dingsdale, representing Turner, Newalls, Ltd., Mr R Pemberton, representing Baifs; Mr. A Walmsley (representing Chapel House). Also represented were representatives of South African War Veterans Association.
