a. Note:   Genevieve Agnes Gamsky Vollmer Wettengel
 96, Appleton, passed peacefully at home on December 14, 2013 after a short illness. She was born on March 8th, 1917 to Joseph H. and Agnes (Hoffman) Gamsky, the oldest of 4 children. She graduated from Lawrence College. Following that she worked for Aid Association for Lutherans. She married Edward J. Vollmer on April 15, 1939. Edward preceded her in death. In 2001 she married Edward A. Wettengel, who also preceded her in death.
 She was involved with the Community Blood Center since its inception. She worked as a bookkeeper and also served as Vice President and on their Board of Directors. She was a member of King's Daughters and also of the Rhythmettes, a tap dance group where she had many friends. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Gen had enormous love for life, family, and friends, and her quick wit and wry sense of humor will be sorely missed.
  She is survived by her three children: Peter (Nancy) Vollmer, Thomas ( Robin) Vollmer and James Vollmer;
 her grandchildren: David (Lorie) Vollmer, Christine Popovich, Mark ( Lisa) Vollmer, Adam Vollmer and Tori Vollmer;
 her great grandchildren: Jason Popovich, Jesse Popovich, Alek Vollmer, Devin Vollmer, Lydia Vollmer and Gabriel Vollmer.
  She was preceded in death by her sister LaVerne Sherry,
 her brothers: Joseph and Larry Gamsky.
  Visitation will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Thursday, December 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Memorial Service will follow at noon with Father Gerald Falk presiding. A lunch will be provided after the service at St. Thomas More, and dessert will be served first!
 In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in her memory with ARC Fox Cities.
