Mrs. Marek Dies, Was 69 Years Old
Mrs. Michael Marek, 69, of 394 ½ Wisconsin Ave. died Friday at 9:25 a.m. at Mercy Hospital. She had been in failing health for some time. The former Emma Gahr, she was born March 20, 1886, in Germany, daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Carl Gahr. She came to this country and directly to Oshkosh in 1903. She was married in 1912 to Michael Marek.
Surviving are her husband, Michael:
one son, Robert Marek, Gunnison, Colo.;
one grandchild,
Four nieces and nephews,
One brother, Eric Gahr, died in 1950.
Services will be held Monday at 2 pm at Meyer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alexander Weinbender, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday at noon until the hour of services.
