Notes
a. Note:   From RootsWeb WorldConnect file I19775, by Ross E. Jones:
"James Lee Florence Book page 29: "Luella Whiting Florence..., the daughter of Charles and Mary Grossnickle Whiting. She was reared in a devout home by loving and kind parents, although they were extremely stern in rule. They lived between Gath and Mowrystown on a farm. Charles built the house and most of the furniture. Lou, as she was called, was the second youngest child, and spent her days in the fields with her father. She had considerable talent in pencil drawing and writing.
"Lou continued to reside in her eight-room home in Martinsville until her death on December 6, 1949. She also rests in Buford Cemetery."
