Note: USA, December 20, 1965, Rollie X. Rittenhouse; Lifelong resident of Huntington County, Rollie X. Rittenhouse, 83, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the Huntington County Hospital where he was taken Friday from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Ralston, Rt. 5, Huntington, where he resided. He had been ill since last September. Farmer and retired employee of the Majenica Tile Mill, Mr. Rittenhouse was born October 12, 1882, in Rock Creek Township to Jasper and Elizabeth Hollowell Rittenhouse. He married Anna Elizabeth McMullen October 18, 1903, in Lancaster. She died August 30, 1956. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Gladys Ralston, Rt. 5 Huntington, six grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Dessie Hite, Rt. 3 warren; Mrs. Dan (Bertha) Rudig, Warren; Mrs. Cleo Bond, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Thelma Nielson, Waterloo, N.Y., Asister and an infant brother are dead. Mr. Rittenhouse was a member of the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren for the lost 50 years. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Arden Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery. Funeral services for Rollie X. Rittenhouse were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home in Warren. With Rev. Arden Ball officiating, Wallace Coolman sang and Mary Wilhelm was at the organ. Pallbearers were Guy Lahr, Ernest Lahr, Glen Drabenstot, Wilber Bowman, Henry Broyles, and Louis Mills, Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery.
