a. Note:   USA, Fri. August 31, 1956; Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Rittenhouse, 75, wife of Rollie X. Rittenhouse, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Ralston of Huntington route five, a half mile east of Majenica. She had been in failing health a year and had been ill the last two months. She was removed to the Ralston home when she became seriously ill. Mrs. Rittenhouse was born September 16, 1880, in rock Creek Township to Charles and Louisa Long McMullen. She married Mr. Rittenhouse October 18, 1903, in Lancaster. She had lived all her life in Huntington County and was a member of the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren for 39 years. She was an only child. Surviving are the husband, the daughter, Mrs. Ralston, and six grandchildren. The body is at the H. brown & Son Funeral home at Warren where friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lancaster Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Pius Gibble, pastor of the church, and the Rev. James Hay, pastor of the Majenica Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery. Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Rittenhouse were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lancaster Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Pius Gibble, pastor of the church, and the Rev. James Hay, pastor of the Majenica Christian Church, officiating. Singers were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Friedley and Mrs. Eldon Palmer with Carolyn Kay Friedley at the church piano. Pall bearers were Earl McCoy, Wilbert Hacker, George Funderburg, Louis Mills, Verlin Douglas and Ben Vendrick, Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery.
