BARTHLE, Walter J. 88, was born September 6, 1929 in Tampa, Florida and went home to be with our Lord on August 2, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his son Dana, grandson Jordan, daughter-in-law Moira, and sister Theresa.
He is survived by his sister Delores, his brother Ralph, his sons James [Nancy], Dennis [Pam], Drew [Jolene], his grandchildren James II [Heather], Drulene [Jason], Drew Jr. [Lindsay], Adam, Aaron [Erin], Samuel, Sarah, Jessica and 12 great-grandchildren.
His four boys were his life. His love for them was immeasurable, he was very proud of each one of them. His example as a Father and a Man was exemplary! He retired from the State of Florida, Division of Drivers License as an Examiner Supervisor. He was very much respected and held in high regards by his co-workers. He had a few sayings that will ring in our ears till eternity!! Such as…”You born in a barn!” “Well, how ‘bout that!” “Where’s my Tabasco bottle?!” “Semper Fi” and last but not least, “DAMN IT!!”.
Our family was blessed to have such a wonderful Patriarch. You will be missed… but certainly never forgotten. Your legacy will live on till we all meet again.
Services will be Tuesday, August 7th, 11:00 at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home Tampa. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to service. Interment will be 2:00 at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Minister: Rev. Drew Barthle Sr. Pallbearers: James Barthle, Dennis Barthle, James Barthle II, Drew Barthle Jr., Adam Barthle, Aaron Barthle.
