Miss Porter was born at Millsboro, a daughter of William E. and Lucy Doak Porter. She was employed for more than 35 years at PaulÕs Grocery Store No. 1 on Jefferson Avenue. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church. Surviving are one sister, Helen G. Porter, Washington and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased.
