 LEROY W. PORTER, SR.
  Leroy Wendell Porter, Sr., 1041 Jefferson avenue, died Wednesday, January 11, 1961, at 8 a. m. in Washington Hospital after a short illness.
  He was born in Fayette County June 19, 1900, a son of the late William and Lucy Doak Porter. He was a member of Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church. Mr. Porter was employed at Jessop Steel Company and was a member of United Steelworkers of America.
  Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Porter; one son, Leroy W., Jr.; a brother, Harry B. Porter; two sisters, Misses Helen and Mabel Porter; and one granddaughter, Judith Lee Porter, all of Washington. One son is deceased.

Thursday at the Abel Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p. m. in charge of Rev. Stephen Cupcheck, pastor of Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
