 Mrs. Margaret A. Scott
  Mrs. Margaret A. Scott, aged 81 years, wife of James Madison Scott, of East Waynesburg, died at 9:45 oÕclock Sunday night, May 30, at her home on Main Street. Mrs. Scott had been in failing health for some time, but was not taken seriously ill until about nine weeks ago when she suffered a stroke of paralysis and fell, severely injuring herself. She was a daughter of Hiram and Maria Porter Rinehart, deceased, and was born September 6, 1838, in Franklin township, where she spent the greater part of her life. About 48 years ago she was united in marriage with James Madison Scott, former prothonotary of Greene county, and resided on the Scott farm on Coallick until 1907, when the family moved to East Waynesburg. She was a member of the Methodist Protestant church. Besides her husband, three sons survive as follows: Dr. H. C. Scott, of Waynesburg; H. W. Scott, of Pittsburgh, and Attorney J. R. Scott, of Waynesburg. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Matilda Milliken, of Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. F. C. Viele, pastor of the Waynesburg Methodist Protestant church, were held at the Scott home Tuesday afternoon at 2 oÕclock. Interment was in Green Mount cemetery.
