Ealy Martin Ellsworth Ealy, 65, funeral director and merchant, died at his home at Claysville, Saturday night after an illness of two years. A native of the West Finley district, Mr. Ealy had lived in Washington and Greene Counties his entire life. He had been actively engaged as a funeral director in Nineveh, Graysville and Claysville. He had been engaged in business at Claysville for seven years. He was a son of Martin and Nancy Ealy. Mr. Ealy was a member of the Enon Baptist Church and fraternally was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellows and the National Funeral Directors Association. His wife, Addie Sprowls Ealy, survives with the following children: Havley Ealy, Canonsburg; Herald Ealy, Wind Ridge; Glenn Ealy, Graysville, and Mrs. Gertrude Ealy Flynn, of Washington. He leaves one brother, James Ealy, of Graysville, and the following sisters: Mrs. Lou Hunt, Washington; Mrs. John Burns, West Finley; Mrs. John Booth, West Alexander, and 10 grandchildren. Short funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday at 12 oÕclock, followed by further services at the Enon Baptist Church at 2 oÕclock. The services will be conducted by the Rev. A. A. He was formerly a funeral director at Nineveh and Graysville, in this county, and had been engaged in business in Claysville for the past seven years. Mr. Ealy was a member of the Enon Baptist Church and was also affiliated with the Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellows, and National Funeral DirectorsÕ Association. Surviving are the following: His wife, Addie Sprowls Ealy; the following children: Harvey (sic) Ealy, of Canonsburg; Herald Ealy, of Wind Ridge; Glenn Ealy, of Graysville, and Mrs. Gertrude Ealy Flynn, of Washington; one brother, James Ealy, of Graysville, and the following sisters: Mrs. Lou Hunt, of Washington; Mrs. John Burns, of West Finley, and Mrs. John Booth, of West Alexander. Ten grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at noon today at the home, followed by further services at the Enon Baptist Church at 2 oÕclock. The rites will be in charge of Rev. A. A. Blake and Revs. Jacob Ruble, Sr., and Jacob Ruble. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.
