Mrs. Jacob L. Sprowls
Mrs. Minnie Viola Sprowls, 67, wife of Jacob L. Sprowls, died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday January 1, 1950 in her home in West Finley, after an illness of two and one-half weeks.
Mrs. Sprowls was born March 16, 1882 at Sugar Grove, Green county and was the daughter of the late William and Jane Cook Henry. She was married April 25, 1900 to Jacob Sprowls. She spent most of her life in West Finley Township and was a member of the Sugar Grove Church.
Surviving besides her husband are seven sons and daughters, Okey Sprowls, Mrs. Syliva Reese, and Mrs. Ruby Hughes, all of West Finely; Melvin Sprowls of Freeport, O, Delmar Sprowls, Akron O and Miss Roe Sprowls and Mrs. Daisy Harris both of Washington.
One son, Winson is deceased.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Charles Henry, of Freport, OH, Benn Henry of Washington, Mrs. Artie Hancer of Claysville, Ms. Sadie Plants of Shreveport, LA and Mrs. Margaret Swan of Sugar Grove Green Co.
Funeral services were held Jan 3 1950 at the Windy Gap Presbyterian Church in charge of Rev. Ralph E. Kaufman. Burial will be in West Finley Cemetery.
