Porter, whose death occurred April 21, 1899. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Enon Baptist church and was a well known resident of the community. She is survived by two sons, D.E. Porter, of Washington, Pa., and W.J. Porter, of Nineveh, R.D.; four daughters, Mrs. George Francis, of Claysville; Miss Minnie Porter, at home; Mrs. Daisy Powers, of Sycamore, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Jesse McKee, of Washington, Pa. LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT I, Maria J. Porter, widow of David R. Porter, late of Morris Township County of Greene and State of Pennsylvania, deceased, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. First. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied, as soon as conveniently may be, after my decease. Second: In order to compensate my daughter, Minnie Porter, for acts of kindness and duties she has performed for me, in addition to a Fifteen Hundred Dollar note she now holds against me, which note I direct my executors to pay, I will and bequeath to her all my household goods, including my automobile and my cows and poultry. Third: I will and bequeath to my son, David Edward Porter, the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars. Fourth: I will and bequeath to my daughter, Josie Francis, the sum Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars. Fifth: All the rest and residue of my personal property I hereby direct, authorize and empower my executors to sell and the proceeds derived therefrom I direct to be equally divided among my five children, to-wit: William Porter, Ida Powers, Daisy Powers, Jessie McKee and Minnie Porter. Sixth: I give and devise my farm of two hundred forty acres situate in Morris Township, Greene Co., Pa., on which I now live, with the buildings thereon, to my son, William Porter, and my daughter Minnie Porter, at and upon the valuation of Six Thousand ($6000.00) Dollars, which said sum they are to pay to the following of my children, to-wit: Ida Powers, Jessie McKee, Daisy Powers, William Porter and Minnie Porter in equal shares, in five years from the date of my decease, without interest. The payments of said moneys to be made to ida Powers, Jessie McKee and Daisy Powers shall be secured by scire facias mortgages upon the farm, one of which shall be payable to each of said sisters at the expiration of the period above named. In the event either of said devisees above mentioned should refuse to take my said farm at the valuation, then the other of said devisees shall have the right to take said farm at the valuation upon the same terms and conditions. Should, however, both of said devisees, viz: William Porter and Minnie Porter, refuse to take said farm at the valuation, then and in that event, I hereby authorize, empower and direct my Executors, hereinafter named, to sell my said farm at public or private sale, either as a whole or in parcels at such time or times and upon such terms and conditions as they shall deem for the best interests of my estate, and to execute and deliver to the purchaser or purchasers thereof good and sufficient deed or deeds for the same. And the proceeds of such sale shall be equally divided among my five children as follows: Ida Powers, Jessie McKee, Daisy Powers, William Porter and Minnie Porter.
