Huffman, 89, of 3406 Old Orchard Road, Harrisburg, formerly of Waynesburg, died Thursday, September 18, 1980, in the Odd Fellows Home at Middletown. Mr. Huffman was born October 27, 1890, near Nineveh, a son of Joseph and Minnie Lightner Huffman. While in Waynesburg he was employed at the Zahniser Machine Shop and later as an operating engineer at the Manufacturers Light and Heat Gas Co. station until his retirement in 1955. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and Susquehanna Senior Citizens, both at Harrisburg. Surviving are his wife, Olive McGlumphy Huffman, also a native of Nineveh, whom he married January 27, 1917; two daughters, Catharine Stewart of Harrisburg and Mrs. A. T. (Marjorie) Livingood of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Charles Huffman of Waynesburg is a nephew. Mr. Huffman was the last of a family of eight brothers and sisters. Services were held at the Neill Funeral Home in Harrisburg on Tuesday, September 23, with interment following in Blue Ridge Memorial Cemetery, Harrisburg.
