His given name and middle initial are listed as ÒWilliam HÓ in this census. -------------------- WILLIAM SUPLER DIES AS RESULT OF FALL Well Known Local Carpenter Passes Away at Washington Hospital, Aged 65 Years - Funeral Wednesday Afternoon. William H. Supler, aged 65 years, died yesterday shortly after noon at the Washington hospital, as a result of a broken vertebra which he sustained Saturday in a fall from a porch roof which he was repairing in Lincoln street. Mr. Supler, who had been a patient in the Washington hospital, was in a serious condition from the first and his death was not unexpected. A son of John William and Evaline Supler, Mr. Supler was born in Richhill township, Greene County. He spent his early life there and when young took up the carpenter trade which he followed all his life. He was united in marriage with Matilda Allan (sic) Mitchell. To this union ten children were born, six of whom survive. In 1882 Mr. Supler moved to Claysville, where he resided until 1892, when he moved to Washington, where he had since resided. Mr. Supler was a staunch Democrat. He was a member of the First Christian church of Washington, the Sons and Daughters of Liberty and the local carpentersÕ union. Mr. Supler is survived by his wife, and the following children: Frank Supler of Eldorado, Kansas; Lestor (sic) H., at home, Alexander McLaughlin Supler in training in a California Camp; Mrs. Clyde Voorhes at home; Mrs. Mary Collins of Wheeling and Mrs. Robert Showalter, at home. Mr. Supler is also survived by one sister, Mrs. G. W. Ferrell of Washington, and three brothers, George and Frank Supler of Richhill township, and Morgan Supler, whose present address is not known. Funeral services will be held from the late home, 23 West Walnut street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 oÕclock, conducted by the Rev. J. C. Burkhardt, pastor of the First Christian church.
