Porter, 76 years old, of Waynesburg, Pa., died August 19 at her home following a paralytic stroke suffered five days earlier. She had ben (sic) ill more than a year. She was born August 21, 1877, a daughter of William and Margaret Wood Strosnider and was married to William A. Porter, who died in 1906. A son, Thomas, also is deceased. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Hiller of Waynesburg; one son, Charles E. Porter of Glenville; one sister, two sisters-in-law, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Final rites were conducted Sunday and burial was in the Green Mount cemetery at Waynesburg. Born Aug. 21, 1877, she was the daughter of William and Margaret Wood Strosnider, both deceased. Her husband, William A. Porter, preceded her in death in 1906. A member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, she is survived by two children, Mrs. Harold Hiller, of Waynesburg R.D. 2, and Charles Porter, of Glenville, W. Va. Four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jesse Grim, of Waynesburg, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Kate Strosnider, of Columbus, O., and Mrs. Emma Lapping, Mt. Morris Star Route.
