King, a well known and highly respected citizen of Waynesburg, died at Cambridge Springs, Wednesday morning, October 27, at 3 o'clock, where he had gone for the benefit of his health. He was aged 43 years and his death was due to Bright's disease, from which he had been suffering for several months. Mr. King was a son of Jacob King, deceased, of Wayne township. He had been engaged in the hardware business in Waynesburg for several years. At the time of his death he was a member of the hardware firm of King and Hoge. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and treasurer of the Men's Bible class and was an active member of the Wesleyan Society and the Epworth League. Besides his mother, Mrs. Lucinda King, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Attorney Charles H. King and James King, of Waynesburg; Jesse King and Mrs. Hiram Sedgwick, of Wayne township, and Mrs. Donald South, of Mt. Morris. The remains were brought to Waynesburg last evening, and were taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. King, East Franklin street. The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
