His given name is listed as "Elmas" in this census. -------------------- ELYMAS BREESE Elymas Breese, aged 83 years, died at the home of his son, Poor Director, Frank Breese, of near Rogersville, Friday, January 3. He had been ill for several months of complications due to his advanced years. Mr. Breese had resided near Time, in Morris township, practically all of his life. He had engaged in farming and stock raising, until he retired about two years ago. Then he and his wife, Catherine Huffman Breese, went to live with their son, Frank Breese and family. Mr. Breese was a member of the North Ten Mile Presbyterian church at Prosperity. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Frank Breese, of Rogersville, R. D. 1, and Henry Breese, of Elwood, Ind., and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ewing, of Washington, Pa. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Stephen Breese, of Prosperity; Israel, of Bakers Station; Henry, of Nineveh; George Breese, Mrs. Elizabeth Phillips and Mrs. Mary Crawford, of Washington, and Mrs. Nora Crumrine, of Deemston, and a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. John Debolt, pastor of the West Washington M. E. church. Interment in the cemetery at Prosperity.
