He was born November 11, 1887, in Greene County, a son of Super (sic) J. and Sidney Huffman Wise, and had lived in the Greene and Washington County areas all his life. A Methodist by faith, he had been employed by the Prudential Insurance Company prior to his retirement. He was married May 24, 1909, to Mettie Jane Buchanan, who died June, 26, 1946 (sic). Surviving are a son, Ralph O. Wise, and a daughter, Mrs. Rex (Ruth) Gump, both of Claysville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased. WISE - Friends of Ollie F. Wise of The Meadows, Claysville, who died Wednesday, September 8, 1976, will be received in the Howard V. Ferrell Funeral Home, Main Street, Claysville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p. m. Friday, Sept. 10, by the Rev. G. M. Sayre. Burial will be in the Greene County Memorial Cemetery.
