D. 2, died at his home Friday, Aug. 20, 1948, after an illness of the past nine months. A retired farmer he was born Sept. 29, 1890 (NOTE: THE YEAR OF BIRTH CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION FOUND IN OTHER SOURCES), in Richhill Township, a son of the late Lon and Maggie Hunt Wise, and spent all his life in Richhill Township. Surviving besides his wife are the following children: Lee Wise, U. S. Army; Raynor Wise, Claysville; Richard Wise, Washington, Pa.; Mrs. Margaret Huryn, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Leota Hunt, Carmichaels; Mrs. Ruth Earlywin, West Findley; Mrs. Mae Marie Ritchie, of Dunns Station; Donald and Harold, at home. One brother, James Wise, of Nineveh, and four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Roberts, Pine Bank; Mrs. Edna Martin, Nineveh; Mrs. Arleigh Ealy and Mrs. Clara Sprowls, both of West Findley, also survive along with 12 grandchildren. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church. WISE - Funeral services for Harley J. Wise, husband of Blanch Goodwin Wise, of West Findley, R. D. 2, who died Friday, Aug. 20, 1948, will be held Sunday, Aug. 22, at 2 p. m., in the Enon Baptist Church in charge of the Rev. Edwin Coddington and the Rev. Jack Harris. Burial in Enon Cemetery.
