Myers, of Camp Verde, died Nov. 16, 1983, in an auto accident in Camp Verde. Both moved to Arizona from their native Pennsylvania 28 years ago. Lenora Myers, an account clerk in the Tempe controllerÕs office for 18 years, is survived by her sons, Richard W., Charles C., Harold P. and James F.; and 12 grandchildren. Lenora May Myers, 70, and her daughter, Ellen Lee Myers, 49, were driving toward Camp Verde when they were involved in the collision with a vehicle driven by Ernie Beauty, 53, at the intersection of the Middle Verde Reservation road. The accident happened Wednesday [Nov. 16] at 7:20 a.m. Todd Myers, 16, who was a passenger in his grandmotherÕs car, suffered head injuries. Mary Beauty, 45, passenger in the other vehicle, had two broken legs. They were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Cottonwood. The boy was later flown to Flagstaff Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Mrs. Beauty underwent surgery for her injuries and was listed in satisfactory condition. Her husband was treated for bruises and held for observation. He was later released. Several busloads of school children passed by the grisly accident scene on their way to school. Cause of the accident was still under investigation earlier this week by Yavapai County sheriffÕs deputies. Mrs. Myers was a retired account clerk for the City of Tempe, where she had been employed for 18 years. Mrs. Myers was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona 28 years ago. She was the mother of Richard William Myers, Charles Clair Myers, Harold Porter Myers and James Frederick Myers. Twelve grandchildren also survive. Miss Myers was also born in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Myers and her daughter were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Camp Verde. Joint services were held Monday, followed by burial in Phoenix. Camp Verde Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
