Barker, of 7 Caldwell avenue, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1964, at 1 p. m. at his home. He was born Dec. 3, 1903, in West Finley Township, a son of Frank T. and Sophia Jane Sprowls Barker. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 22, and was employed at the Jessop Steel Co., retiring in 1961. He was married Nov. 13, 1926, at Bridgeport, Ohio, to Emma Lucille Bane, who survives. Also surviving are one son, George Edward, at home; his mother, Mrs. Sophia Barker, Washington; four brothers, Howard W. and Arthur S., both of Washington; Stanley I. and Donald F., both of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Sylvia, wife of Clyde Jamison, and Goldie, wife of George W. Vitteck Sr., both of Washington, and several nieces and nephews. BARKER - Friends of Elzie B. Barker, 7 Caldwell avenue, who died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1964, will be received at the Robert E. Hummell Funeral Home, 585 Fayette street, from 7-9 p. m. Wednesday and 2-5 and 7-9 p. m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 21, at 1:30 p. m. by Rev. John A. Ford, supply pastor of the Broad Street Baptist Church. Burial in Washington Cemetery.
