 MRS. MARY ANN WALLACE
  Mrs. Mary Ann Wallace died at her home, near Burnsville, Tuesday afternoon, April 2, aged 96 years, of infirmities incident to old age. Mrs. Wallace had suffered three strokes of paralysis and eight years ago fell and broke her hip. Through all her suffering she had been patient and cheerful. She was twice married, first to John Sprowls, whose death occurred 46 years ago. In 1901 she was united in marriage with Thomas Wallace, who died in 1910. Mrs. Wallace was born in Richhill township, this county, where she spent her early life. She had been a member of the Windy Gap Presbyterian church for 68 years and was a faithful attendant at all church services when her health would permit. She had a large circle of friends and was familiarly known as ÒAunt Mary Ann.Ó The following children survive: Dr. J. N. Sprowls, Claysville; Dr. A. H. Sprowls, Elgin, Ill.; Mrs. Anna M. Smith, South Dakota; Mrs. Clara Warner, South Dakota, and also by two brothers, Harry McNay, of Wind Ridge, and William McNay, Greenfield, Ia. The funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 oÕclock. Interment in the Windy Gap cemetery.
