McKee, aged 65, one of the well known citizens of northern Greene County, died at his home in Morris Township at 7 oÕclock a. m. yesterday, Dec. 27, 1940. While he had been ill for the past few days of the flu, yet his condition was not alarming. A sudden heart attack was the cause and the announcement of his death was a great shock to his friends and relatives. Mr. McKee was born in Washington, November 13, 1875, a son of James L. McKee and Marie Brownlee McKee, but had lived in Morris Township the greater part of his life. He was a successful farmer and stock raiser. He was a lifelong Republican and always took an active interest in the affairs of his township and county. His father died in 1928 and his mother in 1922. The following brothers and sisters survive: William McKee, Mt. Morris; Thomas McKee, Rices Landing; Charles McKee, Cameron, W. Va.; Mrs. Mattie McKee Elliott, Washington, and Miss Jurdie McKee, of Waynesburg. Friends will be received at the McKee home where the funeral services will be held at 10 oÕclock a. m., Monday, Dec. 30. The services will be conducted by the Rev. E. J. Knepshield. The burial will be in the Washington Cemetery.
