 Ealy, Silas W.
  Silas Ealy, a well known resident of this section died at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Woods, in East Finley township, at 11 oÕclock, on Sunday, Dec. 3, 1905, aged 57 years. Mr. Ealy was a native of East Finley township, a son of Martin Ealy, who died several years ago. He was married to Nina Belle, daughter of the late James Allum, who survives with two children; James, who is married and lives on what is known as the John Wise farm, and Mrs. Rebecca Sprowls, of Enon. He is also survived by his mother, who is 82 years old, three brothers and six sisters, namely; James, of Waynesburg; John R., of West Alexander; Ellsworth, Burdette; Mrs. James ÒJaneÓ Supler, of West Alexander; Mrs. George ÒClarissaÓ Smith, of Harveys; Mrs. John ÒMaryÓ Burns, of Waynesburg; Mrs. John ÒLucindaÓ Hunt, SimpsonÕs Store; Mrs. Wilson Rockey, of Lancaster, Ohio; Mrs. John ÒJudeÓ Booth of West Alexander. The funeral services was held at 1 oÕclock Tuesday afternoon. Interment in Enon cemetery.

 In another obit I have it say; A son of Martin and Nancy Ealy. He was born June 10, 1849. He married Peninnah A. Allum, or Nina Belle, a daughter of James Allum.

 EALY - Silas W. Ealy died at his home, near SimpsonÕs store, this county, Sunday afternoon, December 3, 1905, aged 56 years, of typhoid fever. He had many friedns (sic) throughout the neighborhood. He is survived by his wife and two children, James M. Ealy and Mrs. Rebecca Sprowls, SimpsonÕs Store, and his mother, Mrs. Nancy Ealy. The deceased is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: James (sic) R. Ealy, West Alexander; M. E. Ealy, West Finley and James A. Ealy, Waynesburg; Mrs. James Supler, West Alexander; Mrs. George Smith, Harveys; Mrs. John W. Hunter, SimpsonÕs Store; Mrs. Willis Rockey, Lancaster, Ohio; Mrs. John Burns, Waynesburg; and Mrs. J. G. Booth, West Alexander. Funeral services were held at the Eno (sic) Baptist church, Tuesday at 10 oÕclock. Interment in the Eno (sic) cemetery.

 EALY - Silas W. Ealy was born June 10, 1849, and died December 3, 1905, of a complication of diseases. He preceded by his father and four sisters, while his mother, Mrs. Mary (sic) Ealy, and three brothers and several sisters still survive. He leaves also his wife, his son James M., and a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Sprowls, all of SimpsonÕs Store, Pa. Brother Ealy joined the Enon Baptist church about thirty-five years ago, and for many years has been chorister and Sunday School Superintendent. Brother Ealy was a quiet peaceable man, a kind neighbor and a good friend. He was buried December 5, at the Enon burial ground, followed to his last earthly resting place by a large company of relatives and friends, mourning the untimely departure of a good and useful man. The funeral services were held in the Enon church, conducted by his former pastor Rev. John A. Simpson. Ò Trust thou in God for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Ó
