BERRYHILL Mrs. Alice Robinson Berryhill, 82, widow of former Waynesburg Police Chief Albert B. Berryhill, died at 5 p. m. Sunday, May 3, 1959, in her home, 277 Hillcrest avenue, Waynesburg, after a lingering illness. She was born September 8, 1876, in Hillville, Clarion County (NOTE: THE COUNTY OF BIRTH CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION IN OTHER SOURCES), a daughter of Samuel and Rachel Seybert Robinson. Mrs. Berryhill resided most of her life in the Waynesburg community, and was an active member of the First Methodist Church. She was a member of the W. S. C. S. of the church and the Worth While Bible Class. She was also a member of the auxiliary to James Farrell Post No. 330, American Legion, Waynesburg. Her husband, Albert B. Berryhill, chief of police in Waynesburg for a number of years and a well known resident of Greene County, died in 1939. Surviving are four daughters, Estella, wife of Richard Hatfield, at home; Margaret, wife of Ralph Porter, of Waynesburg; Mary, wife of Francis May, at home, and Nelda, wife of Lloyd Tennant, also of Waynesburg; three sons, Charles R. and George R. Berryhill, both of Waynesburg, and Samuel T. Berryhill, of Waynesburg, R. D. 5. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Vasbinder, of East Brady; Mrs. Nancy Lynch, of Wheeling, W. Va.; and Mrs. Elizabeth Buzard, of West Monterey; and four brothers, H. E. Robinson, of West Monterey, C. D. Robinson, of Bedford; L. C. Robinson, of Pittsburgh, and M. W. Robinson, of Hillville.
