C., father of Dr. Charles S. Flynn of Bluefield, died Tuesday in a Columbia hospital after a long illness. He was 90. The elder Flynn served as a pharmacist here for many years before moving to South Carolina. Graveside rites are tentatively set for Thursday at Monte Vista Park Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Bluefield is in charge of arrangements. He was a retired pharmicist, a former charter member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Bluefield, a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Holly Flynn of Columbia, S. C.; one son, Dr. Charles S. Flynn of Bluefield; one brother, Russell S. Flynn of Clarksburg; one sister, Mrs. John (Bessie) Patterson of Beaver Falls, Penn.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Hans Nauman (sic) and Charles C. Flynn; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Graveside rites will be conducted today at 11 a. m. at Monte Vista Park Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Bixler officiating.
